Privacy policy

About this policy
This policy explains how Your AI Studio, run by Studio Sol Creative Co (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2021 / 451567 / 07 ("we", "us", "our"), collects and uses your personal information, and the rights you have. We are the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
When you join the waitlist or book, we collect your name, email address, business name, a one-line description of your business, which format you are interested in, and, if you choose to share it, what you currently use AI for. When you pay, your payment is handled by our payment provider, Payfast / Yoco / Snapscan, and we do not see or store your full card details. We also keep any correspondence you send us, and basic analytics about how our site is used.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you, through our forms, your emails, and your bookings, and automatically through standard website analytics.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to respond to you, manage your booking, send your invoice and pre-work, run the session, and keep in touch about what you have booked. This is to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you. With your consent, we also add you to our mailing list, so we can tell you when new dates open, and when Claude changes something that affects what you built.
The mailing list
We only send you marketing if you have opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not affect emails about a booking you have made.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers we need to run the course: our payment provider, our email platform, Zoom for online sessions, Google for storage and forms, and the AI tool providers where relevant. Each has its own privacy terms. We do not sell your information to anyone.
Sending information outside South Africa
Some of these providers store data outside South Africa, including in the United States and the European Union. Where your information is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a standard consistent with POPIA.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to run your booking and our relationship with you, and to meet our legal and tax obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it. If you are only on the mailing list, we keep your details until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to keep your information safe. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect it and to limit who can see it.
Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to be told what we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@juliesol.com and we will help.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator, at inforegulator.org.za or POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

Our site uses basic cookies to help it work and to understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children
The course is for business owners, and our site is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on our site.
